Exchange 2010 integration for FrontRange GoldMine
At the moment, GISME, FrontRange’s native Outlook integration solution for GoldMine is not compatible with Exchange 2010 due to significant changes that have been made in the Exchange architecture. In addition, we understand that FrontRange does not have a GISME release planned with support for Exchange 2010.
Riva for GoldMine and Exchange 2010
We encourage GoldMine partners and customers who need Exchange 2010 integration immediately (for both hosted and on-premise Exchange 2010 systems) to contact us at +1.780.423.4200 in North America or +49.8192.99733.25 in Europe. In addition, Riva is fully compatible with Exchange 2007 and 2003 systems.
Riva delivers server-side integration for GoldMine 8.5 and 9.0+ Premium and Corporate Editions. (Riva is not compatible with GoldMine Enterprise Edition.) Organizations can use Riva to sync contacts, leads, calendar activities (appointments, meetings, calls) and tasks. The two-way sync enables sales reps to add a new contact to Outlook 2010, for example, and automatically have that contact get synced over to GoldMine. Likewise, a user can log a calendar activity in GoldMine and have it sync to her iPad calendar. Email integration is not available at this time.
Supported Exchange mail applications
- Sync GoldMine to Outlook 2010, 2007 and 2003
- Sync GoldMine to Office 365
- Sync GoldMine to Outlook 2011 for Mac and Entourage
- Sync GoldMine to Apple Mail, Address Book and iCal (Mac OS X 10.6+)
- Sync GoldMine to Outlook Web Access
- Sync GoldMine to Outlook on Citrix and Terminal Services
How Riva works with mobile devices
Riva syncs GoldMine directly to Exchange 2010. It’s a server-side sync solution. There are no Outlook plug-ins or additional mobile apps to install, configure or manage.
If Riva is enabled against your Exchange mailbox, your GoldMine contacts, calendar and tasks automatically sync down to your iPad, iPhone, Android or BlackBerry smartphone or tablet. Riva allows you to take advantage of the speed, interactive user interface, and screen resolution of your devices. This just happens out of the box and provides a nice bi-directional sync on the basics.
To go beyond the basics on your mobile device, I’d still encourage you to take a look at the GoldMine Mobile product. The various CRM vendors that we work with tend to develop stand-alone mobile CRM apps that provide deeper integration and we see Riva as complementary to these mobile apps, as opposed to completely replacing them as in the case of GISME at the desktop level.
We look forward to working with you and helping you continue to leverage your GoldMine investment and knowledge.
