Riva delivers reliable, server-side integration between Oracle CRM On Demand and Microsoft Exchange. With Riva, there are no Outlook plugins to install, configure or manage on users’ desktops, laptops or mobile devices. The sync occurs transparently and automatically on the back end. This makes Riva much simpler to set up and manage than Oracle PIM Sync for enterprise environments.
Another key benefit of Riva’s server-side integration is that we support all Exchange mail clients and mobile devices out of the box. (Oracle PIM Sync is limited to Windows Outlook support only.) Riva, on the other hand, syncs Oracle CRM On Demand to Outlook 2010 (64-bit and 32-bit), Outlook 2007 and 2003, Outlook Web Access (OWA), Outlook on Citrix and Terminal Services, Outlook 2011 for Mac, Entourage 2008 and 2004, Apple Mail, iPad, iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone tablets and smartphones.
What does Riva sync
As an Oracle PIM Sync customer, you will be very pleased to know that Riva syncs more than the basics. Riva syncs contacts, leads, calendar events, to do’s, email, opportunities, service requests and more. Plus, Riva can be customized to sync Oracle CRM On Demand custom fields and custom objects.
Your sales reps and service desk staff will appreciate Riva’s advanced email logging (against accounts, contacts, opportunities and service requests), email-to-opportunity and email-to-service request features.
Mobile sync support
Because Riva syncs Oracle CRM On Demand directly to Exchange, it means that all smartphones and tablets that are connected to users’ Exchange mailbox are automatically supported.
Mobile sales reps can use Riva to access their CRM On Demand contacts, calendar, to do’s, opportunities and more — in offline and online modes — from the native address book, calendar and mail apps on their iPad, iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and Windows smartphones and tablets.
Again, with Riva, there are no additional mobile apps that need to be installed locally on users’ mobile devices. (And, by the way, if you’re using Oracle Mobile Sales Assistant, both solutions can be used in tandem.)

Riva does not currently support Lotus Notes, Google Apps, Zimbra or any other corporate messaging systems.

How is Riva licensed?
Riva On-Premise is licensed at $195/user per year (= $16.25/user per month)*. Volume pricing is available for 30 or more users. (For large CRM On Demand customers who only need to sync contacts or calendar or email only, we can also look at module-based pricing options to fit your needs and budget.)

Riva On-Premise and Riva Cloud editions
Riva is available in two editions — Riva On-Premise and Riva Cloud. Riva On-Premise is the preferred solution for large implementations and for environments that require many customizations. Riva Cloud delivers a nice SaaS sync option for hosted Exchange customers and customers that are moving their IT infrastructure to the cloud.
