Riva Rock Star: Meet Berenike Kassab, Regional Sales Manager – APAC
Tell us a little about yourself
German-born and bred, I have traveled the world extensively from an early age and have finally found my home in Sydney, Australia, where I live with my husband and two children.
I studied Business Communication Management (BA) and International Studies (MA) and then went on to work in online marketing and account management, with a focus on SEO and web development. I joined Riva EMEA in January 2016 and moved to Riva APAC earlier this year as Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for the APAC region. In addition to sales, I am also involved in creating customer success stories for the APAC region and looking after existing clients.
My number one focus is customer delight. I thoroughly enjoy seeing customers succeed with Riva and helping them fill the gaps in their business requirements.
Give us a little more insight into Berenike…
If you had to be trapped in a television show for a month, which show would you choose?
Call me philistine – I don’t actually watch TV very much, as there are so many other, more exciting things to do! However, if I had to choose, I would be trapped in David Attenborough’s “The Blue Planet”, where I would dive all the different ocean environments of our planet.
If you could have any one skill or talent that you don’t already possess, what would it be and why?
Definitely powerful public speaking! I have a ton of great ideas, but when it comes to communicating them, my mouth dries up. Being able to convincingly speak in front of other people is something I admire deeply, and I would love to possess that skill.
If you could do any job in the world for one day, what would it be?
A Marine Biologist, investigating the giant squid.
If you could live in any period of history, when would it be and why?
I would go to live with the founders of expressionism for the abundance of art and innovative spirit, but I would take my dentist with me!
What’s rocking your world this month?
With summer just around the corner in Australia, I look forward to some waterlining and scuba diving! I’m also getting very close to holding a pretty straight handstand for more than a few seconds. Finally, I have started teaching my kids Acroyoga on the beach (you can see why I don’t watch TV!).
Riva is very lucky to have secured Nike’s incredible talents and love for everything around her. She is truly an asset to Riva’s APAC team.
