Aldo Zanoni, B.A., B.Ed., MCNI, MCNE
CEO and Managing Director

Mr. Zanoni is the corporate visionary behind Omni’s success. Omni is the third technology company that Mr. Zanoni has co-founded during the past 18 years. The first was Network Learning Masters Inc. (NLM), an authorized Novell and Microsoft Education Center, founded in 1993. NLM was awarded the first ever Novell Education Excellence in Innovation and Education Award in 1999 and the Novell Canada Platinum Partner of the Year award in 2000. Microsoft also recognized NLM’s training excellence with the 2002 Microsoft Canada CTEC of the Year Award. The second company Mr. Zanoni co-founded was DevStudios International Inc. Mr. Zanoni’s 25 years’ experience delivering Novell and Microsoft training, consulting, and software development have made him a sought-after speaker at major technology trade shows globally and an effective CEO at Omni.
Mr. Zanoni holds B.A. and B.Ed. degrees from the University of Lethbridge, a CAESLS after-degree from Laval University, and a one-year Certificat de français moderne from the University of Neuchâtel in Switzerland. His previous technology certifications include: Master Certified Novell Instructor (MCNI), Master Certified Novell Engineer (MCNE) and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).

Michèle Dagneault
President and CFO

Ms. Dagneault co-founded Network Learning Masters with Mr. Zanoni in 1993 and Omni in 1999. She has played a predominant role in ensuring Omni’s continued profitable growth and strong financial record. Ms. Dagneault attends to day-to-day, tactical operations such as product licensing, customer quotes, account receivables and payables, financial reports and filings. She operates with integrity, ethics, and transparency – which are vital skills to her leadership role in finance and accounting.

Stéphane Zanoni, MCDBA, CNA
CTO, Director of Research and Software Development

Mr. Zanoni is Omni’s guiding technology and innovation force. Mr. Zanoni’s knowledge of software programming, database development, networking and infrastructure technologies is extensive. At the age of 12, Mr. Zanoni became one of the youngest ever Certified Novell Administrators (CNA). He creates innovative, leading-edge, enterprise-class solutions for technology challenges that are often perceived as insurmountable by other companies. His technology vision has created a sustainable competitive advantage for Omni during the past 10 years. His versatile skill set extends across multiple platforms (Windows, Linux, Web); programming languages; and solution categories, including identity and user management (IDM/IAM), enterprise messaging and collaboration, CRM and ERP integration, Web 2.0 technologies, mobility solutions and others.


Trevor Poapst, B.Com. (International Business, Marketing)
VP Marketing and Sales

Mr. Poapst is responsible for Omni’s global marketing strategy and international channel partner program. Since 2005, Mr. Poapst has co-ordinated the launch of five new Omni products; created over 100 articles and press releases; generated 35 new customer success stories; organized multiple marketing campaigns; prepared Omni’s business plan, corporate brochure, product datasheets and websites; exhibited and presented at trade shows in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Germany, Spain, Chile, Mexico and South Africa; and submitted two successful proposals for Alberta Ingenuity Funding (awarded $250,000). Under Mr. Poapst’s leadership, channel sales increased from 6% to 23% of total revenues between 2006 and 2008. Prior to working at Omni, Mr. Poapst was Creative Director at The Brick. He has also served as E-Future Centre Coordinator at The Business Link’s award-winning e-business centre, Principal of Boomerang Marketing and Design and Sessional Instructor at the University of Alberta.
Mr. Poapst holds a B.Com. degree from the University of Alberta School of Business. In 2008, Mr. Poapst successfully completed a Leadership Development Program at the University of Alberta.

Wolfgang Berger, Dipl.-Ing. (FH)
Business Development, Europe

Mr. Berger is responsible for sales and business development in Omni’s European office. Mr. Berger plays a key role in developing new strategic partnerships in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Mr. Berger brings several years’ experience of building and developing partner channels.

Gordon Welling, CNE, CNI, MCSE, MCT
Director, Technical Support

During the past four years, Mr. Welling has been responsible for providing customer support, maintaining Omni’s online support forums, testing and quality assurance of Omni software builds, and preparing product documentation and technical tips. In 2008, he transitioned into more of a customer-facing, sales-oriented role. Prior to working at Omni, Mr. Welling served as a senior instructor at Network Learning Masters for seven years. He designed, implemented, adapted and delivered training curricula for the following industry certifications: MCSE, MCSA, MCDST, MCP (Microsoft); CNE, CNA (Novell); and, A+ (CompTIA). Mr. Welling is a retired Captain of the Canadian Army Reserve where he served for 13 years in multiple strategic and tactical capacities, including staff officer, instructor at the Canadian Forces School of Communications and Electronics in Kingston, commander of a reserve communication operator trade school, and commanding officer of a reserve communication unit.
Mr. Welling’s former and current Microsoft and Novell industry certifications include: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Microsoft Certified Trainer, Certified Novell Instructor, Certified Novell Engineer. He also holds a Business Technology Diploma in Systems Automation from New Brunswick Community College.
