In the Entourage screenshot below, a user copies a support-related email into the “Create New Case” folder (see Videos).
What happens behind the scenes: Riva will check to see if the company and contact(s) already exist in the CRM based on the domain name and email addresses. If they don’t, Riva will automatically create them. Next, Riva will create a new opportunity using the email Subject line as the Opportunity Name. It will archive the email, sync the opportunity back down to email client. Document retention strategies: Riva AssignTo folders can be customized to meet your specific document retention needs. For example, rather than archiving emails to a CRM, you may need to archive them to Microsoft SharePoint or a SQL-database application. Riva ConnectBar – Smart link to CRM from Outlook and other Exchange clients![]() When you click on a CRM opportunity, case, quote or project in your Exchange mail client, Riva will enable you to view an email summary of the CRM information. For example, Riva displays the account name, revenue, estimated close date, probability, rating and description information related to a CRM opportunity in Outlook. If you want to review or edit the CRM opportunity, case, quote or project, click the appropriate button in the Riva ConnectBar. Riva will automatically open the CRM opportunity, case, quote or project in the view or edit mode (depending on which link is clicked in the Riva ConnectBar). |
